About
About Sarah
I’m Sarah, a GCSE maths tutor and experienced Maths Teaching Assistant in a secondary school. I work with students from KS3 through to GCSE, including those with SEN and Sixth Form students resitting their GCSE Maths.
By working in a secondary school I’ve seen how many young people have negative experiences with maths and believe they simply ‘can’t do it’. In my lessons I redirect that misunderstanding into clear, step-by-step explanations and show students how to retain what they’ve learned. This helps to rebuild confidence and proves that anyone can do maths with the right support.
I’ve also completed a BSc degree in Psychology with Counselling, with a focus on mathematical anxiety, which shapes my friendly, engaging and supportive teaching style.
